First, let me wish everyone a HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY!!!!!!! (the best holiday of the YEAR! duh.)
The last few St. Pat’s days have been spent dancing with wonderful girls and ladies for usually around eight hours, including epic pub-dance sessions at Kelly O’Neils. Unfortunately, plane tickets to Hawaii are more expensive than the
$15 I have in my bank account, so I wasn’t able to join them during their walk down Kalakaua Ave.
My other problem is that I haven’t learned nearly enough steps of my new school (The Gray School) to be able to perform. Actually, I’m not even sure if I would be able to perform…there are barely any adult dancers in CT!!! I’m going to have to change this in the future, for sure!
Anywho, I got super lucky and was able to spend at least a little bit of time dancing my Irish heart out today. I was contacted by a friend-of-a-friend who needed a dancer for her daughter’s first birthday party! I couldn’t believe my luck! I put together a three minute routine (which is actually a REALLY REALLY LONG TIME for a dancer to dance by herself!!!) and helped Lillian celebrate her first birthday in the most Irish way possible. Both Sarah (her mother) and Scott (her dad) were super nice and threw a great party.
Then I drove home and proceeded to do hours of homework. I will make sure to drink one guinness tonight to celebrate 🙂
Hope everyone had a great holiday! Slainte!!!
Other notable firsts:
* I had never set an analog clock before! Thanks to the lovely classmates in my cohort for allowing me the priviledge.
* I had never received a parking ticket from UNH before. CRAPSKIES!!!!
* I had never been called down to the Goodwin School (Old Saybrook’s elementary school) before. They placed me in PRE-K for a day. Yes, that’s right….they placed ME in PRE-K with 15 3-4 year olds. What were they THINKING??!!! Hahahaha. Highlight of the day? A four year old telling me that the safest place to wait out a hurricane is in Mohegan Sun Casino. I almost spit out my ritz cracker.
